Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking a Product Engineering Specialist to join our Redmond, WA facility. In this role, you will help assure the success of these space missions by driving the technical development, qualification, and production of Ion, Hall, Arcjet, or other electric propulsion thrusters. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of this technology, attention to detail, and the highest standards of quality assurance for the production of mission critical hardware.
Typical duties will include assisting the program manager in manufacturing and delivering flight hardware, guiding integrated product development teams, and leading product proposals. Additional duties will include performing technical analyses, conceptualizing new product designs, establishing system requirements and specifications, planning and conducting test and product verification activities, analyzing test data, developing new business relationships, and generating customer presentations.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline and 9 years of experience, preferably in electric propulsion, plasma devices or mission-critical technology. A Master's degree or higher in an Engineering discipline or Physics is preferred. Priority will be given to candidates with demonstrated engineering leadership experience in a production environment developing and improving products and manufacturing processes.
Strong verbal, written, presentation and team-working skills a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) expected.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship). Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information. Having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
