| Oversee the day-to-day operation of the airport, including the airfield, terminal, and landside. Ensure that the airport operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Serve as the primary point of contact for information regarding safety, security, compliance, construction, airlines, passengers, tenants, and airport neighbors. |
Broad-based knowledge of airport and airline operations and safety management system, theory, systems, and design. Thorough knowledge of 14 CFR parts 77 and 139, associated Advisory Circulars, 49 CFR 1500 series, the Airport Certification Manual, Title 49 part 1542, and NIMS. The ability to interpret technical journals and read construction drawings. Knowledge and understanding of all subsections of FAR 139 including surface movement guidance and control systems, wildlife management, emergency planning, snow removal, and foreign object debris . Familiarity with various government agencies, including the FAA, Customs and Border Protection, and the Transportation Security Administration.
