Chief Executive Officer
Location: Vancouver, BC
Commissionaires nationally is a private, Canadian, not-for-profit company with 15 independent divisions encompassing 50+ offices and more than 20,000 employees. The British Columbia division was established in 1927 with the original mandate of creating meaningful employment for former military and RCMP members. Today, Commissionaires BC has broadened that mandate to “give back to all those who serve and have served our community and country.” Commissionaires BC is comprised of a well-trained, diverse team of over 1,250 servicing 110 communities across BC, providing the best solutions and highest quality of security service in a range of roles, from security guarding to bylaw enforcement to senior managerial positions for a diverse group of clients.
As a result of a planned retirement, Commissionaires BC is seeking to recruit a dynamic leader as its next Chief Executive Officer. As the CEO, you will have the opportunity to design and identify new markets for growth and expand the existing client base through a strong focus on quality and identifying new ways in which their complex security-related needs might best be met. Working collaboratively with other Commissionaires organizations across the country, the new CEO will develop strategic plans to grow the business while meeting competitive challenges from other national security services companies.
The successful candidate will be a proven senior executive with superior leadership and relationship skills and experience. The ideal executive brings a track record of success in a senior leadership role within a related organization such as public safety, military or an entrepreneurial public sector body or private sector business. As a successful business developer and strategic visionary, the new CEO will bring exceptional business acumen, a commitment to the mandate and be a motivating leader of the larger workforce.
By providing meaningful employment to those who have served their country, province or local government as a member of the military or as a uniformed first responder, Commissionaires BC incorporates an extremely important social mandate that differentiates it from private sector security companies. This is an exciting time to lead and grow a well-recognized and respected organization.
