About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 15 The Team: The Customer & Growth Office, a new shared capability within Market Intelligence, partners closely with the Sales organization to deliver a differentiated customer experience. This group enables our sales team and businesses by overseeing customer success, sales operations, implementation of commercial technology. This includes Salesforce, alignment to targets in strategic growth areas, and empowers accelerated growth and delivery by putting the customer at the core of everything we do - driving a full customer experience that differentiates us from our competitors.
Responsibilities and Impact: At S&P Global Market Intelligence, we are committed to placing our Customer at the Core of everything we do. In alignment with two of our Core Pillars, Customer at the Core and Expand the potential of S&P Global's Data & Technology, we are solidifying our focus on how we drive the growth of the business via S&P Global's core solutions, growth themes, target segments and new offerings. In pursuit of this, The Head of Commercial Enablement & Growth will be accountable for setting the conditions for the division's execution against these growth drivers. They will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Technology, Data and our four Business lines. This role will position S&P Global to accelerate customer value realization by delivering through sales training and education, messaging, tooling and performance measurement that focuses on sales and service capabilities, the customer buying journey, as well as product and market knowledge.
This leadership role is accountable for:
Leading global cross-functional teams to enable a cohesive, compelling, class-leading customer buying experience and service models that will directly impact revenue retention and growth.
Applying tools and processes that support performance management and enhanced sales, service and support capabilities.
Directing efforts to identify efficiency opportunities in the commercial function and contributes to the development of business and go to market strategy.
Communicating regularly and working directly with sales, service, technology, data and business leadership to design specific programs and success metrics to positively impact the customer journey and MI's product strategy.
Fostering a customer-first culture by empowering and enabling the sales, service and Marketing teams through continuous training driven by customer feedback.
Designing and delivering programs that provide world class training to the sales and service organizations that meets and exceeds clients and employees needs over the full engagement life cycle.
Measures of Success:
Accelerate revenue retention and growth.
Continuous improvement of sales and service teams.
Time to value related to onboarding early careers and experienced hires.
Internal and external NPS improvement.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates) S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $173,000 to $360,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We're Looking For:
The successful candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree or be qualified via experience
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multi-cultural teams; to build upon the experience and success of the existing sales team by mentoring and further developing the group.
Experience in structured problem solving and excellent oral/written communication skills Customer experience oriented, highly organized, and has a strong sense of urgency.
Experience with collaboration in a team oriented, global, and multi-cultural environment.
Experience managing and training in a global matrix environment.
Data and analytical driven, understands how to collect and leverage customer, market, and performance intelligence.
Well-balanced strategic and operational mindset. Strong discipline around long-term planning as well as near-term prioritizes. Balance between strong program and project management skills with innovation and collaboration.
Set the tone and act as a role model for the required sales behaviors including integrity, customer orientation, collaboration, and compliance.
Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and able to influence and manage resources to address business problems even where resources are outside of direct control.
