Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach – Part Time The University of Akron Akron, OH
The University of Akron, a NCAA Division I (FBS) institution and member of the Mid-American Conference is currently accepting application for the position of Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach. This position will assist the head women's lacrosse coach in the duties and responsibilities of operating a Division I Lacrosse program.
Responsibilities: Provides assistance to the head coach during competitive lacrosse matches and practices. Assist in practices and workouts to help train and prepare student-athletes for competition. Assist the head coach in recruiting highly skilled players. Provide assistance in acquiring lacrosse equipment and ensuring departmental compliance with NCAA guidelines. Work with numerous departments within athletics to help promote and support the student-athletes. Support the public relations initiatives of the department while maintaining positive relationships with alumni, students and parents. Encourage community involvement and promote University pride.
Required Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of (1) one-year lacrosse coaching and/or playing experience required. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations required. Solid Understanding of player development required. Excellent communication, comprehensive writing and organizational skills required. Strong computer skills to including word processing, spreadsheets and databases required.
