Job Description The School of Medicine, at the University of Missouri in Columbia, invites applications and nominations for the position of Chair of the Department of Dermatology. The Department of Dermatology consists of 12 faculty members, 11 residents and fellows, and a growing endowment supporting a chairmanship, dermatology research, the dermatology library, and a lectureship. The department has a 55 year history of excellence in its clinical and educational programs, and has grown a model clinical research enterprise. The department is mission based to serve the underserved and has used teledermatology to care for underserved patients throughout Missouri for 25 years. Dermatology faculty practice in seven clinic locations throughout the mid-Missouri area and work closely with MU primary care departments and other clinical practices to promote optimal patient care. In addition to general dermatology, the department offers subspecialty expertise in pediatric dermatology, dermatopathology, melanoma care, psoriasis, rheumatology dermatology, Mohs surgery, contact dermatitis, and teledermatology.
