The City of Gainesville's Human Resources Departmentis seeking a strong manager and experienced compensation and classification professional to lead and support the Compensation and HR Analytic teams in ensuring that HRIS systems and all rewards programs are competitive and are used effectively to attract, motivate and retain employees.
The Total Reward/Compensation Specialist will be responsible for providing analytical and consultative work in the design, implementation and administration of compensation programs, processes and policies that are competitive, fair and financially sustainable. Scope of work will include guiding job evaluation and market pricing analysis, developing cost modeling, facilitating cyclical compensation planning, and collaborating with management to provide appropriate compensation guidance.
The Total Rewards Manager will be responsible for providing strategic and tactical oversight of the total rewards program; leading the development and oversight of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and data to enhance reporting and analytics capabilities; developing total rewards philosophy, supporting policies, guidelines and practices; leading the development and integration of new and/or existing rewards programs, policies and procedures to ensure that programs are market competitive, internally equitable, and cost effective, with a focus on continuous improvement in accordance with budget, policies, collective bargaining agreements and Federal, State and local wage and hour regulations; and developing.
To be consider for this career opportunity you must havea Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, Organizational Development, or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible professional level experience in designing and implementing total rewards programs, with a minimum of two years experience in developing and administering classification and compensation programs utilizing an electronic Human Resources Information System (HRIS); or
An Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field, and seven (7) years of progressively responsible professional level experience in designing and implementing total rewards programs, with a minimum of two years experience in developing and administering classification and compensation programs utilizing an electronic Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
