The Role: Director/ Associate Director, Client Coverage
Location: Hong Kong
The Team: The AP Client Coverage Team (APCC) is part of the global Client Coverage Team, which is responsible for generating new sales for S&PDJI, of about USD 50 million currently per year. The APCC was built 11 years ago and now has representatives in Beijing, Seoul, Sydney, Singapore, Tokyo and Hong Kong. We license our indices for product creation, such as ETFs, structured products and index derivatives, and helps foster the liquidity in the market.
The Impact: We have been expanding quickly due to organic business growth in the region and with the market opening up in China, we felt this is an opportune time to appoint an experienced financial sales professional to join the team to help drive the growth.

It is a regional role with some travels in AP and the person appointed would be expected to be in the New York Head office for some orientation.
Revenue Generation: Carry an individual sales target and generate new revenue from accounts/ segments assigned
Focus on new client acquisition as well as find opportunity for new products within existing clients from accounts/ segments assigned
Willingness to travel, primarily Asia Pacific
Servicing existing products/ billing/ client queries within client base assigned
Optimize revenue by prioritizing opportunities and engaging clients proactively
Identify key decision makers and influencers with target prospects
Utilize internal CRM systems to monitor new pipelines and leads status for goal management as well as keep the details of sales activities, meeting memos
Generate new contract documents, process sales orders and coordinate new deal process and invoicing with Legal, and Finance team
Develop and consultatively sell appropriate products and solutions to achieve the sales goal
Collaborate with members within product management, research and design, client services groups to deliver the best solution possible to clients and share client feedback for future product enhancements
What We're Looking For: The incumbent will join the S&P Dow Jones Indices Client Coverage Team, which is collectively responsible for achieving new global sales target of about USD 50 million annually. This position is based in the Hong Kong Office and will require some travelling within primarily Asia Pacific. You will be responsible for specific market segments to cover in Asia Pacific, which this could be based on geography or client types. We are looking for a mature self-starting financial professional, who understands the market dynamics (including the buy side, sell side, exchanges, asset owners and regulators) that impact the index business.
Bachelor's degree required
MBA, CFA or CAIA holders, considered favorably
At least 5 years of successful track record in a sales role, preferably in financial markets
Direct work experience in the financial industry in a client facing or analytical role
Fluent in Business Level English and Mandarin, both verbal and written
Strong ability to communicate with clients in a clear manner with strong presentation skills
Ability to multi task and be flexible, prioritizing activities that will best meet client and revenue goals
