As a Pathways Direct-Hire, you will be placed in a rolebased on professional experience and business priorities, focused on one of afew areas including: Asset & Wealth Management, Consumer & CommunityBanking, Commercial Banking, and Corporate & Investment Banking.
To ensure continuous development throughout the program,each candidate will receive mentorship, guidance, and support from yourindividual manager, program manager, veteran sponsor and many other influentialbusiness partners across the firm.
In addition to your business role responsibilities, as aPathways member you will participate in training programs, learning sessions,individual mentoring relationships, and networking events. You will interactwith JP Morgan Chase & Co. senior management and partner with a militaryveteran sponsor who will assist you with the transition from military life intoour organization. You can also become a member of our Veteran's BusinessResource Group, an employee group that supports veteran causes. And of course,you will have the strong support network of your fellow military veterancolleagues. The cohort format of Pathways will provide you with a network ofpeers to share experiences and a sense of community amongst fellow veterans asyou contribute to a business area aligned to your skillset.

Work closely with Senior Desk Analysts and Traders to analyze businesses and capital structures (Loans, Bonds, CDS) across Distressed, High Yield and High Grade credit markets
Develop credit opinions in conjunction with senior analysts and traders to both inform our trading view and share with clients
Collaborate with peer desk analysts, credit publishing analysts, sales, and other stakeholders to manage the firm's risk and serve our clients
U.S. Military Veteran ApplicantQualifications
Location: New York, NY
Enlisted/Junior Officer background and 4 years of experience
0-5 years of separation from military service
Demonstrated learning agility
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Forward thinking and able to work through complex and unpredictable circumstances
Ability to adapt to change and achieve positive business outcomes
Ability to participate in scheduled Induction training in New York from October 23-25
1-3 years of experience in an analyst capacity at a major North American firm in one of the following areas: Investment Banking, Syndicated Finance, Credit/Equity Research, Credit Risk Management
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, or related quantitative field
Must have experience analyzing companies' financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement), with strong financial modeling experience in Excel
Knowledge of corporate capital structures, including corporate bonds, leveraged loans, CDS, public / private equity
Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Strong communication skills, ability and willingness to learn on the job, work well with peers, and a strong ability to multi-task
