ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT 2 , Center for International Studies, Security Studies Program (SSP) , to perform complex and diverse clerical, administrative, and financial duties in support of faculty and research staff. Will plan and coordinate high-profile events, meetings, and seminars; and interact with high-level visitors, including senior members of the military and government organizations. Other administrative duties will include preparing academic course materials using Stellar and Learning Modules; coordinating travel and processing travel expenses; booking classroom space; gathering information for reports; composing and editing internal correspondence and documents; maintaining files and databases; overseeing research spending on selected projects; reconciling accounts; and performing other duties as requested. Will work closely with the assistant and associate directors of the SSP Program.
REQUIRED : at least three years' professional administrative/office experience; ability to coordinate several events and projects simultaneously; strong organizational, project management, analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and written and verbal communication skills; meticulous attention to detail; technical proficiency with MS Office/Outlook and willingness to learn new programs and software as needed; ability to learn and master financial systems; and proven ability to work with visitors. Seek a highly motivated individual with exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills who is able to work both independently and as part of a team.
