The attorney will become part of a small team advising on various employment-related matters, including executive compensation. Responsibilities include drafting, negotiating, and analyzing compensation and profits interest agreements and firmwide compensation plans, as well as advising on federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding employment, compensation, and related areas. This role may also provide the opportunity to research and analyze legal issues in other areas of the firm's existing businesses and potential new activities.
Who we're looking for
We seek an attorney with three to six years of experience, including meaningful experience drafting complex executive compensation arrangements for investment management firms or other financial services businesses. We also invite individuals with higher levels of experience to apply, as the position is designed to appeal to a wide range of applicants.
Familiarity with non-qualified or qualified deferred compensation plans and Section 409A of the tax code is beneficial, but not required.
Excellent organizational, analytical, drafting, and communication skills are imperative, as is a heightened attention to detail, an impressive record of academic achievement, and sound commercial judgment and discretion.
