As a Pathways Direct Hire, you will be placed in a role based on professional experience and business priorities, focused on one of a few areas including: Asset & Wealth Management, Consumer & Community Banking, Commercial Banking, and Corporate & Investment Banking.
To ensure continuous development throughout the program, each candidate will receive mentorship, guidance, and support from your individual manager, program manager, veteran sponsor and many other influential business partners across the firm.
In addition to your business role responsibilities, as a Pathways member you will participate in training programs, learning sessions, individual mentoring relationships, and networking events. You will interact with JP Morgan Chase & Co. senior management and partner with a military veteran sponsor who will assist you with the transition from military life into our organization. You can also become a member of our Veteran's Business Resource Group, an employee group that supports veteran causes. And of course, you will have the strong support network of your fellow military veteran colleagues. The cohort format of Pathways will provide you with a network of peers to share experiences and a sense of community amongst fellow veterans as you contribute to a business area aligned to your skillset.
Business Analyst Overview: The Treasury and Digital Solutions (TDS) Business Operations Team's primary function is to implement and maintain an effective control framework across TDS, including identification of relevant risks, controls, and control gaps within the business. The team partners with the TDS leadership team, Business Management, Sales, Markets, GFCC, Risk, Compliance, and others to develop programs/processes to alleviate these risks. The Business Operations Team is also included in strategic, as well as day-to-day business decision-making discussions, providing guidance through a Control and Governance lens. This individual will report to the DTS Business Ops Director, but will work closely with Control Managers within the DTS Business Ops team on projects coming out of their groups .
U.S. Military Veteran Applicant Qualifications
Location: Chicago, IL or Plano, TX.
Enlisted/Junior Officer background and 4 years of experience BA/BS required
0-5 years of separation from military service
Demonstrated learning agility
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Forward thinking and able to work through complex and unpredictable circumstances
Ability to adapt to change and achieve positive business outcomes
Ability to participate in scheduled Induction training in New York from October 23-25
Business Analyst Qualifications:
Participate in / Manage complex and cross line of business projects that can impact products, controls, sales coverage activities and the client experience:
Manage project lifecycle, from initiation to closing
Plan and facilitate project team meetings
Define scope, requirements, working group, milestones, and deliverables; manage the overall project plan
Produce project reporting and tracking to evaluate progress
Ongoing communication with management regarding project progress and recommendations/decisions
Develop effective presentations and project update materials suitable for various levels of management, including seniors
Resolve conflict through broad decision making
Manage issue resolution process and corrective action as necessary
BA/BS degree preferred
3-5 years of program and project management experience
Compliance, Control or Regulatory experience preferred
Treasury Product experience helpful
Ability to lead and influence large cross functional groups
Strong team-orientation, leadership skills and ability to develop strong internal partnerships / client relationships
Strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
