The US Rare Diseases Launch Readiness Lead is responsible for leading the launch planning and execution of all US Rare pipeline products and coordinating the country launch governance processes.
The US Rare Diseases Launch Readiness Lead reports to the Head of US Portfolio Marketing and will serve as a core team member on the product launch team from its formation pre-launch through commercialization.
The position is based at Sanofi Genzyme’s global and US headquarters in Cambridge, MA.
Launch planning & execution
Lead the development and implementation of an integrated, cross-functional country launch roadmap. Focus initially will be on two near term pipeline candidates.
Define, discuss and track the key milestones and deliverables and operational requirements with the relevant contributors. Review, integrate and challenge proposal to build the cross functional operational launch plan.
Ensure seamless execution of cross- functional launch plans by partnering with launch core team members to identify critical interdependencies, track progress against key milestones, highlight risks, and resolve issues as they arise.
Identify key drivers of value and risks to delivering a successful launch; develop mitigation plans for key risks and alternate scenarios for critical uncertainties
Establish launch readiness KPIs and dashboard and implement reporting to track progress against the plan.
Support the Commercial Lead in communications on the progress of launch activities with senior leaders and other key stakeholders.
Set up and maintain Launch Governance to align US leadership on key priorities throughout the year: launch steering committee meetings, core launch team meetings, and cross-functional workstream meetings.
Facilitate sharing of launch learnings and best practices across brands, therapeutic areas.
Lead cross-functional, post-launch reviews with the US Rare Diseases Team to generate insights on key drivers of success and launch challenges.
Key Qualifications and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including specialty care marketing, commercial, consulting or project management experience.
Strong project management skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the agility to work across a diverse range of strategic and operational topics.
Ability to work cross-functionally, strong team player.
Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in autonomy with limited guidelines.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to cultivate effective relationships, and to influence and collaborate internally and externally at all organizational levels.
