We have an exciting opportunity for you as a Manager, Program Contracts supporting Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) sustainment activities for multiple radar platforms. In this dynamic program environment and highly visible role, you will provide significant Contracts leadership to the BMDS sustainment program. This position reports directly to the Senior Manager, Contracts for the Missile Defense Product Area within Mission Systems and Sensors (MSS) Business Area of Raytheon’s Integrated Defense Systems (IDS).
The Manager of Program Contracts will effectively support the Program Director in support of program goals, proposal development and submission, negotiation, contract compliance, managing contractual issues, and apply overall business acumen to the performance and growth of the product area.
What will you be responsible for?
Day-to-day management of an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a maximum value of over $1.5B
Responding to urgent customer needs in response to unforeseen real world events, to include the negotiation of quick turn proposal activity
Identifying and managing contract changes to ensure successful program performance
Developing customer focused solutions to meet the warfighter’s needs and mitigate contractual/program risk
Managing and building customer relationships both externally and internally
10+ years’ experience in domestic and/or international government contract management, law or business administration
Proficiency in contacts “common body of knowledge” (i.e. FAR, DFAR, PGI, ITAR, EAR, TINA)
Experience negotiating contract terms, conditions, and change management
Experience researching compliance issues, applicable regulations and law, and formulating recommendations to management
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
This position requires an active Secret security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only US Citizens are eligible for a clearance.
Experience managing sustainment contracts to include but not limited to employee deployments, repair & return activities, sparing and refurbishment activities.
Demonstrated experience leading complex negotiations, managing customer expectations and contract execution focusing on cost, schedule, and performance
Knowledge of financial business principles and their applicability to government contracts
Experience working sole source and competitive US Government programs/pursuits
Demonstrated ability to recognize risk elements in business transactions
Experience supervising, or mentoring others
CFCM or other professional certification
Bachelor’s degree, preferred major Business Administration, Contracts, General Management, Marketing, Supply Chain/Purchasing, Law
