We are seeking a Security Direct to oversee a contracted security operations for a multi-campus healthcare organization. The position administers security and safety related issues at all the sites on behalf of the client.
The Security Director:
Participates as an active member of key hospital committees
Provides performance improvement measures and data gathering in accordance with hospital methods for meeting The Joint Commission (TJC) and CMS requirements
Maintains records and produces reports as required by the hospital, government agencies and regulatory bodies
Proactively identifies opportunities to increase the efficiency within the Security Department and make recommendations to management
Ensures that the security staff is initially oriented and provides contractual proof of training
Orientation and monthly training will include hospital safety and security seminars, training and educational training programs
Must be able to conduct preliminary investigations into theft or damage of property and incidents of bodily harm on property
Works closely with Risk Management, Life Safety Management personnel and have a strong working relationship with all law enforcement agencies
Candidate should present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:
Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, law, security management, social science or related field preferred
Have at least ten (10) years of experience within security, military or law enforcement communities, or minimum of ten (10) years hospital related security experience.
Senior level public law enforcement official is preferred
Must be self-motivated and able to prioritize and multi-task
