JobDescription : The Role:Sr Product Manager S&P Global is seeking a Senior Product Manager to support our Market Data solutions for the S&P Market Intelligence platform. Our ideal candidate will have: Strong product thinking skills and user experience sensibilities; an understanding of the use of financial data specifically equity and commodities pricing and reference data, corporate actions, FX and interest rates and macroeconomics data.

The Career Opportunity: The position plays a key role on the S&P Global Market Intelligence Product Management team and for the organization as a whole. The Senior Product Manager role offers exposure to all S&P Global Market Intelligence divisions and clients, and opens doors for tremendous career opportunities with S&P Global. In the role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the Market Data (equity and commodities pricing and reference data, corporate actions, FX and Interest rates and macroeconomic data) offering within the S&P Global Market Intelligence Platform. You will also be responsible for interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to ensure what we build drives real client value and to ensure that all areas of the business are aware of and are leverage enhancements to the platform.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: The Product Management team works in close collaboration with internal divisions and teams -Sales, Marketing, Account Management and Client Services, Content, and Technology-as well as with our clients to create and deliver the road-map for Market Data. As a Senior Product Manager, you are uniquely positioned to be the main point of contact and source of information for client requests. Your job is to create the best possible Market Data services for our clients, key activities include:
Envisioning new products, validating ideas with internal and external stakeholders and creating user stories and wire-frames;
Managing vendor relationships in partnership with content to deliver the best data services to clients while managing costs;
Developing and executing on go-to-market strategies for product roll-out/launch;
Increase market penetration through on-site visits with clients and prospects;
Identify multiple avenues for market development, including marketing channels, speaking engagements, partnerships in the marketplace;
Interacting with client support; product managers and end users as the subject matter expert for your capabilities;
Synthesize ideas from internal business leaders, customer usability studies, end user feedback and competitive/market intelligence and craft them into powerful platform improvements with a focus on return-on-investment
Work with the development (technology) scrum team to progress product development in an agile based environment
Overseeing test plan creation & execution, including participation in product testing;
Acting as product owner for on one or more agile scrum teams;
BA/BS in finance, business, or related fields
4+ years of work experience
Product management experience working with Agile/Scrum is preferred
Strong knowledge of global financial markets with a focus on market data
Ability to understand client product challenges and contribute to defining and communicating solutions
A professional, highly dedicated, detail-oriented, and energetic personality, with the ability to work and thrive in a team environment
Strong problem solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
