Montgomery County Community College invites applications for the Dental Hygiene Instructor/Assistant Professor position. The Dental Hygiene Instructor/Assistant Professor’s responsibilities shall be teaching courses as assigned, student advisement, assistance in Program governance, curriculum development, program/student assessment, participation on College committees & involvement in professional development activities.
Master’s Degree in Dental Hygiene or appropriate discipline required.
Commonwealth of PA Dental Hygiene license and local anesthesia license (active status) or eligibility required.
Experience in dental hygiene clinical practice with at least 3 years teaching experience at a collegiate level required, preferably at a community college.
Current membership in the American Dental Hygienists’ Association required
Demonstrates commitment to the use of innovative instructional techniques and technologies and use of course management systems.
Demonstrates commitment to the use of a variety of teaching activities to address diverse learning styles.
Demonstrates commitment to the incorporation of information literacy resources, technology, research, writing and culturally diverse perspectives into the curriculum
