The Chief of Staff (CoS) is responsible for leading organizational-wide efforts ensuring the UWGPSNJ successfully navigates an extended period of rapid transformation and reaches higher levels of influence and impact. This role demands a seasoned professional bringing significant experience across strategic planning/execution, project and process management, team optimization/accountability, and stakeholder management. The Chief of Staff reports to the Chief Executive Officer and will manage the Office of the President, the Administrative Team, Information Technology Team, and Human Resources Team. The CoS will serve on the executive leadership team and collaborate with the President/CEO, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Communications Officer and the Chief Giving Officer. The executive leadership team will work collaboratively to align the various organizational functions in service to UWGPSNJ’s mission.
Required qualifications and experience include passion for UWGPSNJ’s mission to meaningfully and measurably reduce the scourge of poverty for our neighbors; approximately 10 years of experience, including senior-level management, strategic planning, or operations roles in at least one of the following: growing non-profit, technology company, government (including the military), management consulting, other businesses, or academia; demonstrated achievement in areas such as driving complex projects to completion, building collaborative networks and teams, managing sensitive relationships and projects, bringing order and rigor to dynamic, high-stakes initiatives; demonstrated ability to excel in fast-paced and fast-growing organizations with strong, diverse, and ambitious cultures; demonstrated proficiency with the development and measurement of key performance indicators (KPIs) and the creation and execution of strategic plans; excellent communicator to internal and external audiences; strong coaching and mentoring skills and professional demeanor.
