Senior Business Development and Partnerships Manager-2015545
: We are looking for a motivated, self-starter to be a member of our diverse team and working directly with the Executive Director, Artificial Intelligence Hub and other colleagues, this position will lead the development of networking, relationship building, and partnerships that are mutually beneficial with corporations (and institutional partners) in support of relevant focus areas as they relate to the overall goals and strategic objectives of the University, and how they related to the priorities of the client(s).
You will plan, organize, and lead the development of support and partnership from academia and corporations. You will develop, implement, and evaluate strategies and programs to identify, nurture, solicit, and steward partners. In addition, you will handle ongoing relationships and serve as a primary liaison with the client and external organizations, faculty, and other key partners. You will develop and implement strategies for securing collaborative efforts as well as handle a portfolio of 50-100 client, academic and corporate partners.

The AI Hub The AI Hub is a group that is physically located at National Robotics Engineering Center (NREC), and coordinates the projects and relationship with the Army AI Task Force, who has over a dozen active military members co-located with the AI Hub team, and builds the academic and industry ecosystem that is critical to building capabilities that grow from fundamental research to ultimately production at scale.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Plan, organize and lead the development of support and partnership from academia and corporations.
Develop and implements strategies for securing collaborative efforts.
Lead and handle large sophisticated partnerships, innovation initiatives and assessing potential new partners and new business models within the data science, artificial intelligence, or robotics industries.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred.
Minimum 8-10+ years' experience executing, leading and handling large complex partnerships, innovation initiatives and assessing new business models within the data science, artificial intelligence, or robotics industries.
Experience in Business Development, from identifying partners to executing and growing agreements. Experience in go-to-market strategies through Partners.
Experience working at a relationship-based company with a large brand and deep experience influencing constituent groups across complex organizations.
Passion for identifying emerging trends and leading innovation.
Strong executive presence and executive communications skills.
Experience with driving adoption and implementation of partnership strategies across various relevant academic, commercial, and government partners.
Background and skill set to lead sophisticated initiatives from start to finish.
Exceptional networking, relationship building and partnership and leadership skills.
Experience managing projects across people, teams and outside vendors/agencies.
Especially strong interpersonal, consensus-building skills, with ability to communicate and achieve results across multiple audiences in complex organizational structure.
Familiarity with Agile Project Management Approach
Familiarity with Lean Startup Methodology
Experience working with the government preferably the DoD
