American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) is seeking a Strategic Initiatives Administrator in East Lansing, MI.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Develop and manage project plans related to strategic initiatives, external engagement strategies, and governance implementation, working directly with the Chief Administrative Officer.
Create governance discussion documents, correspondences, reports, surveys, analyses, and procedures.
Lead the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force, as well as committee meetings to include agenda origination, materials preparation and management, and follow-up activities such as meeting summaries and minutes.
Manage the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) accreditation process; coordinate and generate responses for the accreditation application, working with multiple areas across the organization.
Collaborate and build effective relationships, serving as the point of contact for teams when multiple departments are involved, to ensure actions remain in synergy.
Communicate with executives, Emergency Medicine physicians, and other stakeholders to keep projects aligned, maintain the standards expected, and meet assigned goals.

Ideal Candidates will possess:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Five (5)+ years of association or non-profit management
Experience with board governance and formal meeting protocols
Strong project management skills and use of methodologies to maximize project results
A high level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive matters and organizational information
Proven experience as an independent thinker, strategic planner, and takes initiative to create new ways of doing work
Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of medical terminology or healthcare industry experience is a plus
Telecommuting is allowed.
