It all begins with you. Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses. Commodity sales and trading position concentrating in Metals will be responsible driving the growth of both OTC and physical opportunities with a concentration in precious metals physical origination. Position includes working closely with the Bank's corporate and commercial clients in the Metals and Mining and Diversified Metals sectors, executing physical commodity linked finance structures such as leases, consignments, REPOs and other. The position involves a high degree of contact with other traders, marketers, and senior commodity management. The position requires a self-starter with physical precious metals specific industry knowledge and experience and will also provide opportunities to cross coverage or backup in base metals and energy products. The team and primary management location is in Houston TX, while structuring and trading are located in Houston and New York, NY so time will be spent in both locations post covid constraints. Responsibilities include: Growing he bank's current precious metals financing and trading business by servicing Wells Fargo customers. Working closely with traders to maintain precious metals inventory and monitoring price and basis risk of this inventory and customer facing trades. Client facing execution and origination of physical transactions as well as financial OTC transactions. Providing backup OTC coverage in base metals and consumer energy. Utilizing various analytical models and databases. Developing trade ideas to enhance revenue. Managing credit approval and ISDA execution, and other counterparty onboarding requirements. Communicating directly with bank credit officers on the risks and mitgants for CLF structures. Understanding and acting within Dodd Frank protocol. Proactively improving processes and procedures to enhance desk efficiency and effectiveness. This position is subject to Dodd-Frank Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background screen. Applicants are subject to a new screen to comply with Title VII of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act which states that Associated Persons (AP) cannot be subject to statutory disqualification. Under industry regulations, an AP is defined as a team member who solicits or accepts client orders for swaps. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements. Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company.
