General Overview The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) is expanding its services and impact to accommodate system-wide demands. Having recently evolved from a corporate function serving 4,700 employees to an enterprise office serving 78,000, aligning efforts to meet the development and growth of DE&I work system-wide from 15 institutions requires deliberate action, strategic thinking and ability to implement change in a large complex organization. We are looking for someone with a passion and skills to transform healthcare using DE&I technology, change management skills and political savvy. You'll be working with a talented team whose strong mission is to drive equitable patient- centered care and workforce change at Mass General Brigham.
The Consultant for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will be responsible for consulting, facilitating and integrating diversity, equity and inclusion across Mass General Brigham. The incumbent will share in developing processes and tools to increase diverse representation at all levels of the organization, assist the movement toward a more respectful and inclusive culture where all employees thrive, and will work to understand and meet the needs of our diverse patient populations. The DE&I Consultant will serve as a strategic partner with HR and other organizational departments to increase and leverage diversity, equity and inclusion.
In collaboration with the Executive Director of Diversity Equity and Inclusion and the Senior Consultant of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, implement the Mass General Brigham Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy and action plan.
Work with Human Resources colleagues, people managers and employees to ensure delivery of system-wide coverage of appropriate learning and development solutions.
Coaches faculty, staff, and employees across the Mass General Brigham system to meet our diversity goals and objectives.
Stays current and advises on emerging issues and trends in diversity, equity and inclusion, as related to healthcare.
Utilizes a human-centered approach to change management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supports the development and implementation of inclusive practices and behaviors system-wide.
Represents the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy and goals with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrates subject matter expertise in diversity, equity and inclusion along with human systems change management.
Demonstrates analytical skills to gather, interpret and deliver data.
Provides guidance and coaching to create proactive solutions and drive success in achieving diversity and inclusion objectives.
Collaborates with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion professionals around the system on shared goals and objectives.
Coaches employees and leaders on how to embed diversity, equity and inclusion into the employee life cycle.
Researches and identifies emerging trends in diversity and inclusion in healthcare.
Ability to work in a collaborative, interdependent manner with a wide array of colleagues and clients.
Excellent training and conflict transformation skills.
Qualifications Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in facilitation, teaching, and coaching in diversity related topics.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Diversity, equity and inclusion program design and facilitation skills.
Knowledge of diversity and inclusion workforce, workplace and marketplace enablers.
Ability to manage a wide variety of projects simultaneously and function autonomously to meet the needs of a diverse client base.
