Instructor - Health Information Technology (Fall 2021 - Tenure Track)

We are seeking a Health Information Technology instructor to teach in a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM).

MVCC is looking for exceptional colleagues. We seek candidates with: an understanding of the college mission and teaching experience in a comprehensive community college; a focus on student success in a learner-centered environment; and a willingness to use technology to support learning in the academic setting, including on-line instruction and assessment of student learning outcomes. The position requires student advisement and committee responsibilities, curriculum development and program assessment activities, variable teaching schedules and alternative instructional strategies as assigned. Participation in service-based learning and interest in international initiatives are appreciated. The position requires on campus obligations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• RHIA/RHIT credentials (Registered Health Information Administration/Technician), and experience in Health Information Management Field.
