The Assistant Director: Business Intelligence will work with a cross-departmental Data Team to develop RSNA's Business Intelligence infrastructure including data warehousing and analytics platforms.

What you'll do:
Function as a subject matter expert (SME) for data management best practices, including data definitions and taxonomies, metadata management, business data flows, technical data lineage, sensitive data discovery, and data privacy compliance
Collaborate with key business users to understand business objectives and identify needs and opportunities for improved information management and delivery
Provide technical guidance for new projects/initiatives to ensure proper data capture and enable necessary analytics and reporting
Follow Agile development practices for delivering BI solutions including developing project requirements and using JIRA to manage work flow
Lead the development of comprehensive data documentation. Work with business and technical users to share, maintain and adhere to established practices
Develop organizational analytics and reporting templates and dashboards in Power BI
Establish and enforce data policies, procedures, and standards
Understand data flow and synchronization between AMS (Personify) and other systems and improve master data management
Manage and supervise staff including performance management and professional development
What you'll need:
A computer science or similar degree in technology (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 8 years of experience as a reporting developer and/or data management lead
Minimum 8 years of experience in BI reporting and platform integration
Expert knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection
Strong curiosity around data and how it can be transformed into information for any business function
Expert knowledge of BI design principles
Experienced in relational database design and implementation
Proficiency with SQL, NoSQL,
Proficiency in Power BI required and knowledge of other tool BI tools such as SAP BO and Crystal preferred
Ability to work autonomously and ask for assistance when needed
Excellent logical reasoning, multi-tasking and analytical skills
Ability to understand, analyze and solve problems
Ability to develop people, skills in coaching, mentoring, and teaching on the job
Desire to have fun while working with a team to solve real world problems using technology
Strong verbal and written communication skills
