The Impact You'll Make in this Role The person hired for the position of Global Key Account Leader will be responsible for leading a team of global key account managers to exceed revenue sales targets at global key accounts. The individual in this role will develop and manage the revenue goals of team and will manage multi-year plans to achieve global growth targets. The Biopharma Separations Business is committed to providing customers with Biopharma filtration solutions to meet critical applications in the Upstream and Downstream Biopharma market segments. This position will report directly to the Director, Global Biopharma Portfolio.
As a Global Key Account Leader, Biopharma Separations Business , you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Leading, developing, and managing a team of high performing Global Key Account Managers
Developing and managing GKAM strategic playbook
Managing to annual GKAM sales targets
Coordinating global sales training events and dissemination of wins and best sales practices across geos
Leading the prioritization of account focus and development plans with direct reports
Leveraging insight supplied by NPI and product marketing teams to drive expanded customer engagements, product trialing, and sales results
Managing to a pre-defined action plan that includes multi-year growth targets while being sufficiently agile to adapt to changes in plans
Working with cross functional team to serve as strategic sales leader arranging account engagements, driving deep customer insights, developing globally harmonized pricing and supply agreements
Mapping customer buying journey and developing strategic global sales plan to optimize customer buying experience
Working with area sales and marketing teams to ensure a globally harmonized superior customer buying experience
Working with supply chain team to manage supply and service targets at designated accounts
Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Five (5) years sales and marketing experience in the Life Science field
Three (3) combined years of sales and/or customer-facing technical selling experience in the biopharma separations space
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Master's degree of Business Administration (MBA) or higher from an accredited university
Master of Science degree or higher from an accredited university
Minimum ten (10) combined years of sales and/or customer facing technical service experience in the biopharma separations space
Experience marketing and selling to customers in recombinant protein, vaccine, and cell and gene therapy market segments
Experience with Salesforce.com
Experience working with, influencing, and leading global and cross functionally matrixed teams
Demonstrable experience managing Key Accounts
Exemplary time management and project management skills
Strong ability to communicate between countries and participate in virtual teams
Strong interpersonal and team management skills
Travel: May include up to 50% domestic/international
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
