Job Description CVS Health Workforce initiatives is seeking a compassionate, business driven professional that can make the business case for Second Chance Programs that lead to career opportunities. The Senior Manager will manage 1 or more people and has oversight of a large market and a major support function. You will be responsible for interacting with internal and external faith/business stakeholders for the purpose of establishing Second Chance partnerships. Additional stakeholder relationships include; interaction with Government Affairs to keep abreast of policies to support Second Chance Programs and work with Workforce Strategies and Diversity Management, Talent Management and HR Business Partners to provide equal opportunity for qualified candidates to be considered for career opportunities. You will make sound decisions regarding partnerships, types of business involvement, and budget planning and spending. Develop and communicate strategic plans and priorities to ensure we achieve program results. Success in this role is measured by reaching a specific set of target goals within a defined timeframe.
You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks and standards including, but not limited to, the following:
1. Drive building non-traditional talent pipelines by partnering with second chance organizations, educational institutions, workforce development, faith-based and community organizations, opportunity youth, vocational rehabilitation, and military partnerships. 2. Leverage Strategic CVS Health Business Leaders to identify Second Chance partnerships and opportunities at the national, state and local level to creatively meet business talent needs. 3. Develop and maintain critical external collaborations and partnerships with government, non-government, and nonprofit national organizations that will foster diversity and inclusion and build a workforce reflective of our customers, patients and communities we serve. 4. â¢ Lead, plan and manage all aspects of the Second Chance Initiative serving adults 18 years of age and older across a geographical area of our enterprise footprint. 5. Plan, coordinate, collaborate, track and monitor program outcomes to ensure successful transitions. 6. Create a comprehensive 5-year plan that is designed to meet program goals and objectives in collaboration with Director and Senior Leadership 7. Plan and conduct special events including public presentations, virtual meetings, training classes, etc. 8. Conduct an evaluation of the Second Chance program by assessing effectiveness by year end. 9. Work closely with partner agencies to ensure program participants engaged and supported in services that include employment/training, educational attainment, and other supportive services. 10. Coordinates initial employment, referral and onboarding process to determine the best fit for the individual and retention support that is needed. 11. Track and complete the business incentive process to support retention efforts.
Required Qualifications â¢ 6+ years of related work experience in HR and/workforce development â¢ 3+ years leadership or management experience â¢ 1+ project management experience â¢ 3+ years experience with Second Chance Programs â¢ 3+ years experience managing workforce programs â¢ Must possess a valid and current driverâ™s license and auto insurance. â¢ Must be able to travel at least 30%

Preferred Qualifications â¢ Tableau and computer application knowledge â¢ Excellent public relations, community organizing, negotiation, mediation, conflict management and meeting facilitation skills. â¢ Previous training & development experience in a healthcare/retail setting â¢ Demonstrated problem-solving, detail orientation, and time management skills. â¢ Collect data, conduct report writing, and follow-up. Ensure individual participant has a team of key colleague advocates, support and job coaching. â¢ Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System and community resources with demonstrated experience working with justice involved adults. â¢ Second Chance Act and Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act â¢ Government and Political landscape at the national and state levels â¢ Driving cross-functional communication and collaborating with department, company, and external teams â¢ Understanding of value added and cost reduction initiatives as they pertain to our activities (tax credits, grants)
Education Master's degree required.
