The Team: The Transactions Team is responsible for the delivery of new products, product enhancements and the go-to-market strategy for all transactions datasets including M&A, bankruptcy, capital raising and buybacks.
The Impact: S&P Global Market Intelligence is seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive the growth and execution of transactions data and analytics on the Market Intelligence and S&P Capital IQ platforms. This role is responsible for providing direction, managing and supporting execution of new capabilities and the innovation of existing capabilities on the platform as it relates to the visual display, analysis, and consumption of our data. You will also be responsible for interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to ensure what we build drives real client value.

Responsibilities: The Product Management team works in close collaboration with internal divisions and teams --Sales, Marketing, Relationship Management and Client Services, Content, and Technology--as well as with our clients to create and deliver the road-map for the Transactions data set. As a Product Manager, you are uniquely positioned to be the main point of contact and source of information for client requests. Key activities include:
Envisioning new products and enhancements, validating ideas with internal and external stakeholders and creating user stories and wire-frames;
Developing and executing on go-to-market strategies for product roll-out/launch;
Increasing market penetration through outreach with clients and prospects;
Interacting with client support; product managers and end users as the subject matter expert for your capabilities;
Synthesize ideas from internal business leaders, customer usability studies, end user feedback and competitive/market intelligence and craft them into powerful platform improvements with a focus on return-on-investment
Work with the development (technology) scrum teams to progress product development in an agile based environment;
Overseeing test plan creation and execution, including participation in product testing;
BA/BS in finance, business, mathematics, engineering or related fields
2+ years of relevant work experience
Must M&A experience
Product management experience working with Agile/Scrum is preferred
A professional, highly dedicated, detail-oriented, and energetic personality, with the ability to work and thrive in a team environment
Strong problem solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to understand client product challenges and contribute to defining and communicating solutions
Strong knowledge of global financial markets with knowledge of industry classifications and/or aggregates preferred
Knowledge of Investment Management / Investment Banking / Capital markets workflows; and associated user segmentation within
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $67,600 to $190,100. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus/a sales commission plan.
