The Impact You'll Make in this Role As a Web Processing Sales Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact achieving sales objectives by providing sales coverage of assigned accounts or within assigned territory. The position is intended for individuals experienced in sales and who have demonstrated effective use of selling skills and have consistently achieved or exceeded forecast over a sustained period of time. Primarily, manages sales territory with periodic supervision and assistance. When necessary, requests or receives assistance in handling situations which require either greater or different experience or knowledge as needed.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Establishing territory sales goals and utilize appropriate tactics to meet and exceed sales objectives.
Work with Marketing and Application Engineering to understand new customer and business development opportunities.
Establish and build relationships with key personnel at multiple levels in the buying process to attain territory sales goals.
Proactively present new application opportunities to end-users.
Generate leads for new business through interactions with end users.
Ability to utilize technical equipment to conduct product trials at customer locations to aid in the selling process.
Provide input in the development of short- and long-term growth targets that align with existing business plans and strategies for greater territory and account penetration
Take advantage of new sales opportunities through effective time and territory management.
Utilize Salesforce.com as the CRM program to evaluate, track and measure new end user opportunities
Develop and implement business plans and programs that increase market coverage and sales. Perform analysis and investigation about product and markets (market insights)
This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.
Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Two (2) years of Sales experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Current, Valid Drivers License
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Industrial Sales experience
Previous experience in the paper/print industry
Knowledge and understanding of flexographic tape and splicing tape solutions
Computer skills including Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience to work with CRM tools (Salesforce.com preferred)
Strong sales/business acumen
Ability to use financial date to drive sales
Experience working with distribution to fulfill channel needs
Location: Dallas, TX; Houston, TX
Sales Territory: TX, OK, NE, MO, AR, LA
Travel: May include up to 50% domestic
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
