The Impact: S&P Global is seeking an experienced and innovative communicator to join the S&P global Ratings Communications team as Communications Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for a robust mix of internal communications, external communications, and operational excellence/project management across this dynamic and global team. You will connect our people to our purpose by bringing our divisional and functional strategies to life, communicating about our business objectives, and elevating the employee experience. You will build communication materials in support of functional initiatives, change communications, providing editorial and writing support. You will also have opportunity to work on broader communication programs and projects within the Communications team. You will work across various teams of analysts and thought leaders as we continue to drive press media coverage externally.
You will report to the Senior Director of Communications and will work as an integral member of the Ratings Communications team. You will support to the global implementation of communication initiatives at scale. You will bring forward strong planning, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills to elevate the team and advance in our capabilities. You are a passionate, innovative, and critical thinker, always looking for exciting, creative ways to get the right message, to the right person, at the right time and through the right channel.

Supporting and, in some cases, leading communication initiatives for various functions within S&P Global Ratings
Engages with stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization, from entry level employees and managers to senior functional leaders
Develop internal communications plans and content with clear, tailored narratives to engage target audience
Provide hands-on support for functional communications, creating communication plans, producing, and publishing content across multiple channels
Engage regularly across stakeholder groups and social media channels to advance organizational brand and reputation
Manages communication initiatives from beginning to end, including - writing a wide array of content for the intranet, blogs, drafting functional leader messages, talking points and proofreading
Formulate ideas and helps convey conceptual ideas to junior staff while implementing concrete action items
Manages events including functional town halls, leadership meetings and offsites
Engage with global studios team for video and digital content production in partnership with key stakeholders
Partner with regional communications counterparts, to bring in local knowledge/nuances and ensure functional communication plans are executed flawlessly
Collaborate with External Communications teams to identify/align with market trends that may impact or influence internal communication programs
Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Communications, Journalism, English, Business, Finance, or related fields
5-7 of experience working in a Corporate environment or Corporate Communications department, preferably in the financial industry and within a regulated business
Knowledge of corporate employee communications tactics and execution
Ability to effectively partner with direct management and team members and work well with all levels of employees
Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize high volume, high priority initiatives
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with limited supervision and guidance
Strong planning, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
Ability to self-direct with minimal supervision, problem-solve, demonstrate judgement, and work well under pressure
Willingness to jump in on an array of projects as requested; eager to learn new skills
Flexible and adaptable, able to react quickly to changing requirements and new challenges

Excellent writing, editing and presentation skills
Ability to convey subtle, technical, or complex messages in writing
Experience supporting organizational change and communication projects, preferably in a fast-moving matrixed organization
Demonstrated experience developing functional/departmental level communications in a variety of formats (e.g., blogs, email, presentations, etc.)
Demonstrated proficiency in developing concise, well-organized written materials to communicate concepts effectively
Proven track record of cross-functional partnership and relationship management
Experience project managing various initiatives and communications programs
Experience working collaboratively in a matrixed or large organization, has acute awareness of business problems and can tailor communications to meet the needs of the business
Demonstrated ability to champion new ideas and approaches, and influence outcomes

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $55,900 to $127,700 . Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
