The Impact You'll Make in this Role As a Site Quality Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Developing and monitoring operational performance of the site level Quality Management System (QMS) to meet the plant and business objectives and comply with relevant global regulations.
Establishing and driving, through a culture of continuous improvement, objectives for prevention of quality non-conformances and deviations, reduced variation in product and process, improved customer satisfaction, and operational excellence across the site.
Supporting plant operational objectives in driving the "Win Every Hour" initiative both in the Quality function and through the leadership of the plant.
Management Representative with responsibility and authority to ensure quality system requirements are effectively established and effectively maintained.
Preparing for, managing, and following-up on quality and regulatory audits conducted by external agencies, notified bodies, customers and the 3M HCBG compliance auditing unit.
Assuring all products released to the market meet their specification and comply with relevant regulatory requirements (Medical Device, Drug).
Guiding the plant and business with appropriate risk-based decision making around deviations and change control.
Implementing quality and regulatory strategies aligned to global regulations and business strategic plans.
Developing solutions for highly complex and multi-faceted problems, which require ingenuity, creativity, innovation, and strong analytical skills.
Taking initiative to proactively create cross-functional collaboration and engagement to more effectively implement programs and process in support of meeting the site's plans and objectives.
Networking effectively across all business stakeholders and sister plants within those businesses to share key learnings and capitalize on best practices.
Implementing corporate strategies related to Quality and Business Transformation.
Establishing leadership and shared ownership for the Quality Culture within the site organization.
Actively participating on the site leadership team.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Five (5) years combined manufacturing, quality, laboratory and/or production environment experience within a private, public, government, or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Five (5) years health care regulated industry experience
Two (2) years leadership experience
Quality or Regulatory leadership experience in the Health Care Industry (medical device or pharma)
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and create excellent collaboration
Ability to lead internal and external audit activities
Experience leading site level Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing projects
Ability to communicate at all levels
Change Management experience of programs with significant strategic importance
Demonstrated skills in customer experience management
Location: Columbia, MO
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international
Relocation: Is authorized
