The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As the Global Paid Media Manager you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by driving global paid media activation to advance and protect 3M corporate brand and reputation on a global scale. Scope includes:

Global Advertising Strategy
Build a strong approach to paid media strategy planning that helps advance 3M's brand and reputation goals.
Establish cross-functional paid media planning processes with Integrated Media, Brand, PR/Communications, Sponsorships/Events, and other collaborating teams .
Steward audience media research and addressability; ensure audience-centric approach to campaign planning and advise on ways to maximize audience impact across multiple campaigns.
Implement a global paid media measurement plan, identifying key KPIs and benchmarks for global scorecards and decision-making.
Serve as the global SME for paid media strategy, governance and operations.
Global Advertising Operations
Collaborate with global stakeholders across Brand, Communications, and Events/Sponsorships to plan go-to-market advertising plans that deliver on campaign objectives, including brand awareness, familiarity, favorability, and purchase intent.
Oversee the development of effective and efficient cross-channel media plans, ensuring right media mix, audience targeting, brand safety/suitability, user experience design and media measurement.
Oversee strong operational execution and ongoing optimization of paid media campaigns, leading 3M and agency teams to execute media across channels, including digital, social, TV, audio, OOH, content publisher partnerships, etc., ensuring maximum impact, on time and on budget.
Drive a robust qualitative and quantitative approach to advertising, including strong integration of media plan and media diagnostics with brand creative and messaging, testing and brand impact measurement.
Oversee enterprise advertising/paid media standards and training for brand safety/suitability, account and data management, payment and credit lines, and advertising technology POVs.
Team, Agency & Management
Supervise team members and provide coaching for international counterparts.
Oversee agency relationships including global media strategy and advertising operations.
Oversee budgets, including working and non-working spend across all activation efforts.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Seven (7) years of experience in brand communications/marketing for a large brand or agency
Five (5) years of experience managing multi-channel advertising campaigns
Three (3) years of experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders throughout a large organization
Three (3) years of experience managing agency partners and/or internal teams with direct reports
One (1) year of experience collaborating with global teams
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Experience working with global markets on campaign and operations, effectively striking the right balance between centralized and localized operations
Comfortable as a thought leader and experienced presenter, articulating complex ideas simply
Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven success building relationships across all levels, internally and externally, including influencing senior decision makers throughout the organization
Balance of quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
Experience with analytics systems and tagging requirements for data delivery and reporting
Experience with campaign impact measurement methodologies, including control/exposed brand lift research, media-mix modelling, etc.
Travel: May include up to10% domestic
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
