The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Global Controls Process Lead you will collaborate with global stakeholders (Accounting, Compliance, Corporate Audit, Business Finance, etc.) to define global processes and standards within the RTR scope. This position will be responsible for providing global leadership to drive Control process standardization, efficiencies, and enhancements. In this role, the Global Control Lead will determine and govern Global RTR control process design, working with the GPO, APO, and CPO teams. He/ She will support the adoption of the global design and drive change management including the continued development of RTR Control strategy and execution in our Global Service Centers and supporting our overall priorities. Collaborate and drive best practice sharing across GSC's organization to help improve overall Control performance. Main responsibility is to champion the RTR Global control process and drive change management, providing visibility and direction to GPL, APO, APLs and GSC teams. Process mindset and E2E thinking is the key to success for the Global Control Lead to ensure alignment of processes across streams (LEX, STP, ICO, etc.) and maintain global process standardization and governance.

Engaging with internal global stakeholders (Accounting, Compliance, Corporate Audit, etc.) to define global Control processes and standards.
Maintain connection and alignment with Product Owner (PO), facilitates issue resolution, deployed process optimization and enhancements.
Own RTR Global Controls portfolio and inclusion in E2E process maps for ensuring process governance. Ensure controls in E2E maps are governed and maintained. Facilitates process issue resolution and escalation.
Optimize global RTR Control activity in GSCs. Engage with GSC teams to ensure alignment between the GSCs for standard process understanding, enhancements and centralization initiatives. Works with GSCs and TTS on resolution of any non-system issues (training, resource constraints and change management).
Responsible for proposing, developing, and facilitating workshops and global trainings.
Participate and lead projects that drive global Control standardization, centralization, and process improvements.
Responsible for reducing and eliminating global Control process gaps.
Has visibility to process opportunities, deployment activities, projects, and strategic changes within the RTR Control scope that allow you to advise RTR Leadership on strategic direction and potential risks.
Coordinate and collaborate with other Global Control organizations, such as Audit, SOX, GFS, etc.
Involved, overseeing Control's impact of ERP & System upgrades/additions for RTR (I.e.ECC -S4)
Drive value realization and compliance mindset by identifying process and system optimization opportunities enabled by a thorough understanding of global policies and practices.
Support and drive, as needed, any automation initiatives.
Help to establish KPIs and global process metrics and monitoring.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Five (5) years of equivalent work experience in E2E Process Knowledge, Business Finance, Accounting areas, Polaris, LSS and/or Audit
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Foreign Language skills
Proficient in Excel
Experience working with SAP
Experience with process development and/or business process redesign experience
Previous experience as a Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred
Previous experience working with data quality, master data management and/or data governance within a global master data environment or familiarity working with Supply Chain processes and data, manufacturing or materials management preferred, but not required.
Travel: May include up to 25% globally
Location: Global, Remote
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
