The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Quality Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Ensuring appropriate level of conformance to IATF16949 / ISO9001 and other applicable customer specific requirements
Training, counseling and guiding engineers, supervisors, managers, and directors in ISO & IATF compliance and continuous improvement
Promoting quality best practice within the plant and building a quality-oriented culture for the organization.
Identifying, planning, recommending, and completing quality programs for the division
Partnering with Value Stream management in improving customer quality
Leading site quality BT preparations, identify and prioritize pull forward opportunities
Location: Knoxville, IA
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic.

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Five (5) years in at least one of the following Quality related areas: Quality Engineering, Quality Management Systems, Six Sigma, manufacturing, or operations within a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM), MBA or related discipline from an accredited institution
Three (3) years of leadership experience within a private, public, government or military environment
Competent in quality management systems, knowledge, and application of risk management strategies throughout product life cycle, manufacturing operations, communicating with regulators and government agencies
Certification(s) in quality engineering, quality auditing or quality management [e.g., American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification CQE, CQA, CQM, CSQP]
Experience in the Automotive industry, including supplier management, Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) Core Tools such as Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
Project management or new product development experience
Experience with IATF16949, with understanding of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 17025 -Laboratory Accreditation and ISO 9001
