The Team: This team is part of the Ratings Technology Site Reliability Engineering group. We provide production support for mission-critical Ratings applications and the underlying containerization platforms on which they run. Our primary responsibility is to perform the operational and engineering tasks required to ensure Ratings applications are secure, performant, and highly available.
The Impact: As part of global team of engineers, provide production support for Tier-1 business critical applications. Troubleshoot application related issues and work with infrastructure & Database team to triage Major Incidents. Contribute to delivery of innovative and continuous highly reliable technology services. Strong focus towards developing shared integration services with automation and cloud enablement, guide the team to design technical solutions. Experience in analyzing/researching solutions and developing/implementing recommendations accordingly.
Work with business users to understand needs, issues, develop root cause analysis and work with the team for the development of solutions and enhancements.
5+ Years of IT Experience.
Bachelor / MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
Linux/UNIX administration experience.
Good knowledge on Kubernetes, Istio and Knative.
Hands-on experience using automation tooling like Ansible and Terraform.
Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Python and bash.
Hands-on experience with DevOps tools like ADO, Jenkins, Ansible Tower, Docker.
Hands-on experience with AWS services like EKS, VPC, EC2, ELB, Route53, S3 to create scalable application environments.
Use of observability tools to investigate performance issues, identify bottlenecks and understand application-level issues.
Experience performing Root Cause analyses and automating solutions to address underlying issues.
Flexibility to work across time zones.
Proven working experience in Azure Cloud Platform Operations
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Experience in maintaining focus and driving results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
A strong background interfacing with multiple groups; ability to coordinate effectively, multi-task and manage pressure.
Proven ability to work using different styles as needed to accommodate the situations encountered
Experience in assessing change impacts and the development of task estimates.
Expert knowledge automating the building and deployment of containerized applications
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $83,200 to $190,100 . Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
