The Impact You'll Make in this Role The person hired for the position Electrical Technician will Layout, facilitate, plan, and document the installation, maintenance, repair, replacement, modification, troubleshooting, diagnosing, programming, optimization and design of existing and new manufacturing equipment and all the associated control of that equipment. As an Electrical Technician you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Understanding and following all safety policies and procedures
Maintaining electronic and electrical equipment and components
Programing/troubleshooting using programming devices
Calibrating and verifying metrology equipment

Ability to use computers in a manufacturing setting
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
Possess or in the last Six (6) months of pursuing a Two (2) year technical degree in a maintenance field in a private, public, government, or military industrial environment setting.
Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Associates/Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology
Strong knowledge and experience with PLC's, inkjet printers, extrusion equipment, ovens, hydraulic presses,
Possess a good knowledge of drive control, site HMI operation
Experience installing, diagnosing and repairing, assembly and/or automated machinery in a manufacturing environment, robotics and automated equipment
Strong background in electrical preventative maintenance as well as basic knowledge of electrical code covering laws of installation of electrical equipment; use test equipment, possess a good understanding for mechanical design & operation, including hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes, lubrication, etc
Qualified applicants will be required to take and pass 3M employment testing as a part of the selection process.
