LEADERSHIPPROFILE & POSITIONSUMMARY
Position Summary: The Associate Registrar for Operations position is responsible for ensuring exemplary service to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the public through strategic leadership for the operations of the Office of the University Registrar. This position is responsible for determining priorities and setting strategic goals to ensure the office is providing relevant services, keeping current technologically, providing appropriate access to data, and leading key strategic initiatives. In addition, this position has oversight for FERPA outreach and training in collaboration with Legal Affairs and has oversight for the business continuity/disaster recovery plan for the office.

Strategic Leadership: The Associate Registrar for Operations will provide strategic direction and goals for the operations of the Office of the University Registrar to ensure alignment with department and university goals. This includes oversight of the following: grades, transcripts, graduation, athletic eligibility, registration, enrollment/degree verification, undergraduate catalog, curriculum management, scheduling classes, providing unit-record data as appropriate, and approving access to registrar-related systems.
Technology & Systems: The Associate Registrar for Operations will provide expert knowledge of systems, technology, and trends in higher education influencing the role of the registrar. The successful candidate will utilize knowledge and systems to implement technology to streamline service to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the public and will resolve problems and prevent new problems by establishing/revising policies, procedures, and changes brought about by shifting workloads or emerging technologies.
Leadership and Collaboration: The Associate Registrar for Operations will oversee a team of four dedicated professionals including a Senior Assistant Registrar, Assistant Registrar for Academic Records, Catalog Editor and Program Management Specialist, and Data Analyst. The successful candidate will also serve as lead on key strategic initiatives to support the university strategic priorities.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Master's degree in higher education, college student personnel, counseling, or related field that provides focus on higher education, leadership, or analytics by the start date of the position, and at least six years of significant related work experience, including at least three years of leadership experience. Relevant experience will likely result from higher education enrollment management offices, student services offices, and University settings utilizing student information systems. The experience may be attributed to a combination of relative paid employment, relative student employment, relevant internships, and, in some cases, relevant experiential learning with appropriate documentation.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a knowledge of FERPA and will be able to travel independently.
Experience in PeopleSoft and Oracle Business Intelligence is preferred.

Based on extensive benchmarking data, the target hiring range for this position is $61,500 – $68,566, however, the full salary range is $58,972– $98,125. The exact base salary for the selected candidate will be negotiable, commensurate with education and experience, and competitive in the field within the context of similarly situated positions at public universities nationally.
