This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.
The Impact You'll Make in this Role
Global owner of strategy for an assigned product portfolio on a 6-to-36 month horizon to achieve balanced P&L financial targets
Manage product lifecycle, including a new product commercialization roadmap and simplification strategies
Define pricing strategy and tactics to maximize growth and income
Optimize the current global source of supply for Area financial performance, and build a roadmap to regional sources of supply in accordance with division profitable growth goals, and capital deployment plan
Advance go-to-market model for profitable growth
Author an annual Marketing Plan to set priorities and actions to deliver upon financial objectives
Architect a hardware and software systems strategy, including road-mapping of multi-generation system components for prioritized customer applications
Recommend technical capability building avenues cross-functionally to meet strategic goals, including discernment of internal versus external partner efficiency to meet objectives
Manage third party technical and business partnerships, including supply agreements
Innovate methods to manage complex product master data for non-traditional revenue streams including hardware, software, and services for customer transactability and internal measurement
Manage global price corridors
Champion new product development programs in accordance with commercialization roadmap per portfolio
Align geographic area execution and regional activation via global marketing plans to achieve operating and strategic plans
Chair a cross-functional and global (Area Portfolio Leaders) rhythm to achieve organizational alignment
Lead global brand or sub-brand strategy / engage with cross-division brands, and provide guidance to regions/countries
Facilitate, lead and hold responsibility for Integrated Business Planning with global portfolio review & global demand aggregation
Partner with cross-functional and Area colleagues in executing the above
Bachelors degree from accredited educational institution
Minimum five (5) years of experience in marketing and/or business management
Advanced degree in business or technical discipline, particularly Electrical Engineering
Strategic road-mapping, particularly for multi-generational application solutions
Organizational matrix management; influencing cross-functionally and globally
Travel: May include up to 15% domestic and international
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
