The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Software Support Analyst , you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Serves as a technical liaison between Field Service, Service Engineering, Independent Contractors, 3M Sales, OEM's, dealers and customer sites in resolving complex technical problems.
Coordinates site planning and installation activities. Provides user in-service and product orientation prior to turn over of system, and short-term user support after system turn over.
Analyzes system performance data, reports on performance trends, and develops corrective action and preventative maintenance plans for systems within assigned area of responsibility. May be recognized as an authority on certain products
Provides remote or on-site direction and diagnostic assistance to service technicians in resolving complex or unusual system failures. Develops service technicians through direct assistance, seminars, and involvement in emergency situations that may require the use of nonstandard service techniques.
Maintains knowledge of current technology and new products through continuous education and participation in other professional development opportunities. (5%) The job also requires performing other duties as assigned. Percentages of time spent on job duties are estimates and may vary for each position
Must be able to provide after-hours on-call support as necessary
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and seven (7) years experience in technical support environment
Two (2) years computer systems technical experience or a technical degree
Ability to work a flexible shift
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
One (1) year experience with IIS, Windows Server OS, Windows 10, Citrix/TS, VM, ability to solve problems in a logical, methodical, and time efficient manner
Knowledge in basic database concepts including the ability to construct simple queries
Understanding of health care industry
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Travel: Occasional travel may be required
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
Location: Murray, UT or Silver Spring, MD or Remote
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
