The SEI helps advance software engineering principles and practices and serves as a national resource in software engineering, computer security, and process improvement. The SEI works closely with defense and government organizations, industry, and academia to continually improve software-intensive systems. Our core purpose is to help organizations improve software engineering capabilities and develop or acquire the right software, defect free, within budget and on time, every time, whether it is for a traditional business-focused IT system, a cyber-physical system or a system of systems operating in highly constrained environments.
This member of the Agile Transformation Team will engage government customers to identify, prioritize and implement actions that help testing organizations serve as key enablers for rapid incremental fielding of critical software-driven capabilities. Putting research into practice and exposing actionable areas to focus new research, this technical leader will work with some of the most ambitious software intensive programs underway today. Focusing on the engineering as well as the programmatic challenges behind developmental and operational testing, this role is focused on advancing the state of the practice in system-level testing of large-scale software-intensive systems.
In this role, you will lead pathfinding projects that apply innovations in system testing across the lifecycle of software development work streams. You will bring thought-leadership and drive innovation in the rapid incremental delivery of complex software systems. Shifting system level test considerations toward a focus on continual verification while increasing the timeliness and confidence of analysis results, your work will directly benefit those who rely on critical software-driven capabilities.
