The Location: Houston, Denver, New York
The Team: An exciting opportunity for an Analytics Associate role has opened with the North American Analytics Sales team. This individual will be working along-side senior sales experts as part of a team delivering double digit YoY growth with an accelerated expansion plan for 2022 including the successful deployment of our Commodity Service Module (CSM).
The individual will be aligned with senior analytics sales team members, working in close collaboration to retain and grow the analytics business, predominately focused on a targeted list of Platts customers who will be migrating to Platts new CSM model and focused on those users new to Market Insights.
Perform against defined metrics of client retention (subscription usage) and new business growth (number of opportunities) through:
Research, pre-qualify and engage with prospects developing a hypothesis about their needs and an insight-led approach of engagement.
Discover sales opportunities acquiring information about client structure, personas, key objectives and organize diagnostic calls for senior analytics sales. Support throughout sales cycle with follow up actions and engagements
Onboard clients, review accounts and drive subscription usage through close monitoring of utilization statistics, account planning and client engagements.
Ensure comprehensive support for all CSM clients during trials and during the critical post-sale period.
Document in salesforce CRM. This applies for all meeting notes and client interactions.
Participate in ad -hoc projects to support team objectives and promote the Platts brand
What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate will demonstrate a genuine interest and ability to learn how Platts Analytics can add value to client workflows. Committed in developing a career in sales, the Analytics Associate should be able to develop deep commodity expertise and be willing to work with multiple internal stakeholders.
The Analytics Associate is a highly proactive and is effective in executing against defined account and business development processes, working alongside the senior analytics sales, client account managers and other Platts stakeholders.
This is a collaborative team selling role in which the Analytics Sales Associate will be aligned with a senior analytics sales, partner with a number of Commercial Managers and other members of account team
Proactiveness and Influencing skills are essential not only with customers but also internally, to coordinate senior colleagues on account plans
Learning agility - this role combines commercial (diagnostic-selling) and commodity expertise which are equally essential to success in the role.
Bachelor's degree or 1-3 years of equivalent work experience.
Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong presentation skills
Must have strong organizational skills and display strong time management skills
Strategic and analytical mind set with strong interpersonal skills
Highly proficient in MS Office and using CRM systems
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $46,200 to $95,900. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
