Role: Strategic Alliance Speciliast
The Strategic Alliance (SA) Specialist will be a content redistribution expert providing support across S&P's Market Intelligence division. This role will touch every use case of where S&P licenses Market Intelligence data to third parties via a range of partnership types. The SA specialist works with sales, legal and product managers to coordinate and implement the ideal relationship structure spanning across information service providers, technology solution providers, redistributors, clearers, exchanges, execution platforms and other key strategic partners. The ideal candidate will have experience with partner/channel management licensing frameworks and/or the creation of consortia/industry solutions, including proficiency in deal structuring and partnership lifecycles. This position will require analysis and workflow prioritization across a large book of business. Closely tied to the Relationship Managers of S&P clients, the SA Specialist will expand partnerships with clients to enhance their own suite of products and services.
This hire will have in-depth knowledge of the information technology industry and competitive landscape as well as a deep understanding of S&P Global's businesses and products. The hire will firmly grasp and anticipate the clients' needs in a way that informs S&P product capabilities to gain competitive advantage. Experience with data and intellectual property licensing frameworks and arrangements is highly valued in this position.

Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves complex problems in fast-paced strategic partnership negotiations using commercial and legal awareness and in-depth industry expertise.
Time Management/Organization : Able to prioritize high volume of inquiry both internally and externally. Ability to balance protection of S&P intellectual property with advancement of creative partnership opportunity, revenue generation and business growth. Full of initiative and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced business environment.
Interactions & Collaboration: Works regularly with product business leads, legal staff and cross segment sales representatives to creatively structure partnerships for redistribution of S&P content. Has significant impact on the business's ability to implement products, platforms and programs that drive revenue results.
Minimum and Preferred Education : BS degree in business, finance or a related field required. Advanced degree, professional certification (e.g. CFA, FRM, etc), MBA, JD or equivalent experience preferred.
Minimum and Preferred Experience: 5+ years in financial services ecosystem. Thorough understanding of data and intellectual property licensing frameworks and arrangements, including drafting transaction documents and templates. Preferred experience includes coordination with product and content teams. Experience and grasp for servicing global clients.
Compensation/Benefits Information: S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $100k to $150k. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
