The Role: This is an individual contributor role that will involve prospecting and closing new clients (new logo acquisition), as well as, some retention/growth within existing clients. The Team/Business:
The 451 Sales team, now a part of S&P Global Market Intelligence, consists of 5 account coverage segments; Core ($0-100M), Growth ($100M-$1B), and Strategic ($1B+), Marque ($1B+ Top Tier) and Financial Services. Our expertise covers the innovative & disruptive technologies, service providers, companies and market changers shaping the tech landscape. Competitive intelligence, market research, innovative technologies, market sizing, and a suite of advisory/professional services offerings enable our clients to gain insight to the rapidly changing IT/Tech market, and make better informed business decisions through the use of research, analysis and quantitative data.
Responsibilities

Generate new sales opportunities through systematic prospecting, outbound calls and trial management.

Drives sales by focusing on opportunity identification, and growth within our premier clients and by developing the strategic selling skills of the team.

Question and uncover prospects' unique business needs in order to manage the trial and new sales process, tailoring information that 451 Research provides to those needs.

Clearly and effectively work with the Managing Director/SVP of Sales, Strategic Accounts to demonstrate 451's value proposition through in-person and over the phone presentations.

Consistently achieve monthly sales targets and quarterly goals.

Liaise with client services to ensure clients gain maximum value from research relationships and develop global account strategies.
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $74,400 to $154,400. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual sales commission plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a bachelor's degree.

5+ years of professional experience strongly preferred.

Direct sales experience strongly preferred.

Understanding of the technology and/or market research industry

Proven experience managing large accounts, achieving revenue goals, and managing sales strategies.

Knowledge of the technology industry or syndicated research services is a plus, and prior experience servicing or supporting large/strategic/enterprise market/accounts is highly preferred.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (phone experience a must).

Experience with all MS office applications, a CRM software, and a proven ability to be resourceful leveraging technology and web platforms for enhanced due diligence.
