Department: Business and Finance | Office of the Controller
Reporting to the Director-Financial reporting in the Controller's Office, manages a team that oversees various accounting functions associated with treasury and endowment administration. Establishes and maintains accounting policies and controls, preparing financial reports and safeguarding the university's assets. Participates in endowment strategy sessions. Supervises and delegates work for accounting staff. Manages the daily accounting and reporting activities and reconciliation functions ensuring financial accountability. Streamlines accounting operations. Ensures compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and government regulations.
Bachelor's degree in business administration with background in accounting or finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience; five to seven (5-7) years accounting experience, preferably with investment accounting; prior supervisory experience; demonstrated success in a progressively responsible management capacity; knowledge of financial practices and GAAP and understanding of industry standards and compliance.
CPA and accounting or finance degree; considerable experience in progressively responsible management roles; knowledge of government regulations and procedures; knowledge of computer systems; experience with auditing activities.
The Target Hiring Range for this position is $107,000 to $143,000.
