The bswift Operational Compliance Officer will have the opportunity to work with one of the fastest growing companies in the benefits administration business. bswift is an energetic and dynamic company that is competing in the benefits administration and outsourcing space and winning customers across all industries. As an experienced Compliance Officer you will create the vision, build and oversee the Operations Integrity Strategy.
You are responsible for standing up the Operations Integrity team and oversight for the bswift compliance organization and related compliance activities (internal audit, compliance, government affairs, privacy, and legal).
You will lead the effort to ensure operational risks are identified and controlled for all aspects of the companyâ™s operation including the client service delivery.
You are responsible for process design, resourcing and delivery strategy to support our goals while also complying with all applicable policies, laws, and regulations. You will report to the CEO and President, bswift.
â¢Responsible for auditing, investigating, risk management, compliance and operational controls through training/education and enforcement of ongoing consultation on compliance issues impacting businesses. â¢Evaluation of current and proposed end-to-end business processes. â¢You will identify risks in processes and work with the appropriate owners to mitigate risks. â¢Assess internal resources as part of broader operating model changes â¢Leverage enterprise resources for support and alignment â¢Develop risk assessment framework and plan â¢Create charter, mission, and oversight committee â¢Establish standards and metrics to measure performance â¢Develop coordinated oversight with enterprise â¢Develop annual plan for oversight & controls â¢Provides leadership and direction, through multiple levels of executive leaders, managers, in promoting and enforcing compliance with state/federal laws and regulations and related-company policies â¢ Interfacing with industry groups and regulators on compliance with laws and regulators monitoring and reporting on adherence to compliance controls. â¢ Self-motivated, high-capacity person who can function and win in a demanding, performance-driven environment â¢ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Required Qualifications â¢ Minimum 10+ years extensive experience in operational integrity, risk management, regulatory compliance, internal audit, or governance in healthcare, insurance, or financial services â¢ Ability to create efficient and effective controls responsive to key regulatory risks â¢ Deep proficiency to work with all levels of the organization and manage people and teams â¢ Demonstrated strategic management, leadership and influencing skills

Preferred Qualifications â¢15 years extensive experience in operational integrity, risk management, regulatory compliance, internal audit, or governance in healthcare, insurance, or financial services â¢Experience building a compliance and oversight team â¢Transactional/contract law experience (including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating), preferably in a corporate, in-house legal setting â¢Master's Degree.
Education Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant work experience
