The Impact You'll Make in this Role
The U.S. Strategic Pricing Supervisor role is an important position within the Strategic Pricing team in the USAC Subsidiary. This person will lead many key Strategic and Operational Pricing Activities and work closely with the Strategic Pricing Manager, Strategic Pricing Team members, and Strategic Pricing Analytics to ensure our pricing initiatives align with business strategy and financial goals, while ensuring legal and BT compliance. This position will drive creation of winning proposals for 3M and customers by leveraging analytical mindset, creative pricing strategies, and developing partnerships with field and key account teams. The position will also facilitate discussions and strategy with key customers, marketing team members, field and key account partners, Finance, and the Contracting organization to ensure we meet our deliverables for winning proposals.
As a US Strategic Pricing Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Drive (in conjunction with Strategic Pricing Manager) contracting for GPO, IDN and Channel contracts and RFI/RFP's execution plans
- Work with Analytics to assess ROI on key programs/initiatives
- Manage pricing portfolio initiatives & material ownership
- Implements Processes and Tools to help facilitate additional growth/solutions opportunities and standardization opportunities
- Coach and Train Marketers and Sales people on Pricing and Contracting strategies and processes
- Co-Leads Contracting and Growth initiatives to drive optimal US growth and operating margin
- Executes new Pricing Strategy within US structure
- Align with Marketing, GPO, IDN, and Contracting Groups to ensure alignment on Pricing Strategies and Execution
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
- Possess a bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Five (5) years of combined experience in Marketing, Finance, and/or Sales in a private, public, government, or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of combined experience in Healthcare Marketing, Finance, and/or Sales roles
- Experience in Healthcare (knowledge of GPO and IDN contracting process)
- Understanding of BT processes and impact to business
- Advanced Analytical skills and track record of operational execution
- Proven capability to collaborate and lead across functions and internal structures
- Strong critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Great communications skills (verbal, written, presentation) with an ability to clearly convey complex information to diverse audiences
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred
- MBA desired
