Lean Engineer (Greenville, SC)

The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Lean Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Identify and actively participate in processes and procedures focused on increasing productivity reducing cost, improving safety and improving quality

• Assist in development of process standards and standard work

• Assist operations in troubleshooting various problems and in optimization of existing processes/products

• Provide technical expertise to assist in administering and facilitating engineering projects and or programs

• Function as statistical and technical resource

• Drive kaizen activities across a variety of areas using the breadth of the lean toolbox

• Assist in training operations on Lean Six Sigma methodologies

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Two (2) years of manufacturing experience

• Strong communication skills, team building skills and interpersonal skills

• Experience utilizing statistical tools in problem solving

• Project leadership experience and demonstrated ability to develop and drive time lines

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt project experience and/or certified

Location: Greenville, SC

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic travel

Relocation: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
