The Lead Generation Director manages a team of internal sales professionals whose role is to originate, and/or identify opportunities, and qualify those opportunities before they are passed on to the external sales teams.
The Director of Lead Generation will achieve/exceed qualification targets agreed and defined with the leadership team. The Director will improve the performance of the team (# leads, the pace of qualification, activity level, quality of opportunities.) The long-term goal is to expand the team and increase its contribution to the overall growth of Merkle in the Americas.

Meet the targets
Participate in the elaboration of the lead generation targets. Align with growth officers on the targets per capability
Own the numbers: assess, understand, explain, define next steps/actions
Work with sales operations and marketing to build the relevant lead generation reports
Set up the processes and practice across the team to maximize consistency and effectiveness
Drive (daily) the team to meet/exceed the numbers: daily interlocks, daily coaching, identify and remove roadblocks
Identify opportunities to exceed the targets and work out plans with the support of the strategic growth officer to roll those plans out
Communicate: know, report, and communicate the numbers to the direct line manager and the growth leadership team
Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement, make recommendations, and make required changes
Gather feedback, collect ideas from other teams, constantly challenge team with both the "how" and the "what"
Team and People Management
Build a high-performing sales team, by making sure the team constantly learns and develops, shares ideas and best practices
Deliver to all the necessary/required management prerogatives (121, best practice sharing, information sharing, team meetings)
Identify individuals' areas of improvement and work with the individuals to define and roll out performance-enhancing plans
In charge of hiring/recruiting talents, and ideally building a talent pool for future hiring
Own the performance plans and performance reviews of the team members
Influence sales training programs and requirements, and drive completion by the team
Set up the right processes and governance to maximize support from marketing and sales operations teams
Work closely with growth
Be an active participant in the planning process for campaigns and sales plays
Proactively shares ideas with Strategic growth officers for cross-functional optimization
Be the voice of the lead generation team within Merkle: share wins, share agenda and projects, recognize team successes
Share and align with other teams on the short/medium and long-term plans
Communicate at a cadence / Drive momentum
Work to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

The Director of Lead Generation reports directly to the Americas Strategic Growth Officer who oversees the integration and coordination of growth efforts (inclusive of but not limited to planning, campaigns, sales plays, training) with other growth officers, marketing, sales operations, learning, and development. But the individual is also directly accountable to other Growth Officers.
Relevant undergraduate degree required with advanced degree preferred.
Five plus years' experience managing teams and individuals
Minimum of 5 years managing sales teams and delivering quantifiable results
Understands and masters the requirements of managing a sales team daily
Experience in people-based marketing and marketing technology is a critical plus
Willing and able to learn a broad/large set of products and offerings, Always looking to be ahead of the team in learning and knowing.
Experience working in a matrix environment and managing teams within a dynamic, fast-paced, and ever-changing marketplace.
Intuitive curiosity about technology, marketing, and the ability it gives clients to create more seamless and valuable customer experiences.
