About the Role:
The Client Development Associate will be a member of the high growth Global Technology Team within S&P Global's Market Intelligence division. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work global, multi-stakeholder deals with a wide range of companies who lead, innovate, and disrupt their respective industries.
As a Client Development Associate, you will play an important role supporting a group of Account Directors and Relationship Managers, helping to drive awareness, meetings, sales conversations and ultimately help the team elevate its partnerships with the world's largest tech firms. This role has a direct impact on future growth and you'll learn from some of the best and most successful commercial leaders in the industry.
What You'll Do:
Our team sells S&P's Technology, Media and Telecom data, research, and IT Analyst & Advisory services to the largest Technology firms. Said differently, you will help manage a variety of deal types for a wide range of customers, from prospect to close.
Here are some of the core responsibilities of the role:
Supports account and relationship management activities with existing clients.
Tracks market and customer developments and trends. Reviews quarterly client results and reports findings to Relationship Managers.
Provide platform and product functionality training and support to clients. Gather client feedback to support product improvements and upgrades.
Focuses on retaining business by ensuring a high level of client service and satisfaction.
Provides monthly relationship management and sales reports to sales and business management.
Engage in strategic planning for key accounts in conjunction with Relationship Managers
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Experience in a sales or entrepreneurial role, or desire to get into one.
Goal orientated and competitive with an ability to work towards revenue targets within a business development environment.
Interest in understanding a client's business, how their specific role fits within the organization and consultatively suggesting solutions that solve for their business issues.
Strong MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills are required, and any knowledge of CRM databases (such as Salesforce.com) would be helpful.
Strong interpersonal communication skills, able to think on your feet and confidence in public speaking.
Compensation/Benefits Information: S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $65k to $80k. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
