Boston University is seeking a Project Manager II (PM) within the Information Services & Technology (IS&T) Project Management Office. This position is part of a diverse project team to help support the University's strategic goals, with a focus on projects related to Research Administration, Faculty Systems, Healthcare Applications, and Finance, Sourcing and Human Resources. The PM is responsible for the execution of projects through the full project lifecycle, managing the project team and is accountable for delivering to committed scope, on-time and within budget. The Project Manager reports on the status of projects to the sponsor/steering committee, manages risks and issues, and ensures good communication within the team and with client stakeholders. The project manager may also be asked to serve in the business analyst role on projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Plan delivery of projects in close collaboration with clients, and with IS&T staff (Architects, Developers, Engineers, System Administrators, and Service Operations).
• Manage project teams and delivery of projects including requirements gathering, solution approach, design, resourcing, project plan, execution, transition to service operations, and project closure. - Proactively manage issues and risks, as well as project resources, budget and schedule.
• Communicate status of projects and future project plans to stakeholders including faculty, project sponsors, IS&T management, and IS&T governance committees.
• Managing requirements gathering within projects. The ideal candidate will be excited to collaborate with colleagues and business partners from many different areas of the University.
