Responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, support, monitoring, and evaluation of processes and infrastructure to achieve accreditation in the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education (SoE). Create, maintain and disseminate unit and programs' assessment systems necessary to adequately evaluate program outcomes and promote ongoing continuous improvement of academic and support programs. This is a full-time position scheduled for thirty-five (35) hours per week; 12 months a year.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Working independently and in conjunction with Dean and Associate Dean/Faculty/Staff and Office of Institutional Research, coordinating assessment practices to systematically collect, generate, analyze, interpret and co-write assessment, accreditation (CAEP and SPA) and federal reports (including Title II), and using data to produce academic analyses which support continuous quality improvement, accreditation, assessment and strategic planning activities (15%)
-Assisting the Associate Dean in leadership of CAEP accreditation self-study review process
-Assisting the Dean and Associate Dean in leading, implementing and monitoring the SoE Quality Assurance System with internal and external stakeholders by supporting the development, implementation, collection, analysis and reporting of assessment data according to the SoE cadence schedule and Assessment Practices Guide (10%).
-Collaborating with Associate Dean to assist academic programs in the development of assessment and evaluation practices, plans, instruments, strategies and reports that support accreditation. Disseminating assessment/evaluation data and analysis to faculty members and professionals of the School and sharing the analyses with constituencies across the College to improve the learning outcomes of SoE students (15%)
-Assisting the Associate Dean in preparing for and presenting assessment and accreditation related practices in Dean's Council, EPP and Advisory Board meetings in support of the implementation of the Quality Assurance System (10%).
-Developing and reporting SoE Impact Measures and Outcomes for the annual CAEP accreditation report, Title II Report and SoE website, including assisting Associate Dean in annual CAEP completer action research study (5%).
-Managing, maintaining and reporting assessment/evaluation records, including acting as system administrator for collection, storage and reporting of candidate data through TK20 electronic data system, producing accreditation reports and databases of the SoE and of the programs within the School (20%)
-Assisting the Dean in developing, implementing and monitoring the Assessment Office Budget (5%)
-Assisting the Dean and Associate Dean in supporting professional learning of faculty/staff in assessment related practices including data analysis and decision making, determining validity and reliability, assessment development, and use of the TK20 system. (10%)
-Assisting with additional tasks as assigned by the Dean (5%)
Education / Experience:
Master's degree in an educational field.
Experience in learning outcomes assessment.
2 or more years of experience in higher education.
Ability to use electronic assessment tools such as TK 20 or similar systems.
K-12 teaching and/or school administrative experience.
Experience with CAEP accreditation processes.
